“Someday, maybe one day in the future a patient will come into the intensive care unit with a serious infection and will be given a treatment to transiently render the patient to be more like a mouse”, Luna Lund Jensen, Indfarvet gelatine, Rundgang, Det Jyske Kunstakademi, 2020

An exhibition with Luna Lund Jensen and Daniel Mølholt Bülow

Opening: Friday, July 16th, 2021 from 4 – 8 pm

Exhibition period: July 17th – 25th, 2021

Opening hours: Thursday to Sunday from 2 – 5 pm

During the summer c4 projects is organizing an exhibition series with artists who graduated from one of the three Danish art academies in 2020 – the Jutland Academy of Fine Arts, the Funen Academy of Fine Arts, and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.

Centered around studio visits made in collaboration with representatives from the self-organized artist- and curator run platforms Organon (now Cantina), Piscine (formerly), and SixtyEight Art Institute, c4 projects has organized the exhibitions through an assessment of commonality and approach to artistic practice focusing on creating new meaningful contexts and dialogues between the artists. With these exhibitions c4 projects seeks to create emerging career and exhibition opportunities for the newly graduated artists. The overall goal of the project is to give a new generation of artists the opportunity to start constructive dialogues with the self-organized art scene towards establishing their practice in a professional environment.

Som at trække sprog fra et forstenet minde with Luna Lund Jensen and Daniel Mølholt Bülow is the first exhibition in the series, the following two exhibitions will be with Sara Annsofidotter, Mikkel B. Pedersen, and Martin Christoffer Lund, and Maja Qvarnström, Wael Toubaji, and Anton Lind.

Luna Lund Jensen (b. 1992) lives and works in Aarhus and graduated from The Jutland Academy of Fine Arts. Her practice utilizes narrative spaces and unfolds itself within time-based media, text, and sculpture. Her works examine themes of mythology, technology, and biology through a fictional lens. Luna Lund Jensen is co-founder of the artist-run exhibition space Cantina in Aarhus, which she runs with seven colleagues.
