På gruppeudstillingen Cookiecutter vises en række tekstilbaserede værker, der gennem kunstnerisk praksis undersøger, nytænker og abstraherer over det hverdagslige mondæne og ordinære. Værkerne søger på hver sin måde at afdække de både intime momenter og større globale strukturer, som udspringer fra dagligdagen, og leger med den dualitet der ligger i objekter og handlinger fra det huslige, arkitekturen og design.
Værkerne approprierer visuelle motiver lånt fra industrien for at se på hvordan gentagelse, produktion og forbrug resonerer med vores omgivelser på enten et følelsesmæssigt eller praktisk niveau. Inspiration bliver hentet fra industriens formsprog for at søge en samtale, der ikke kun taler om den personlige oplevelse af det domesticerede, men også skaber en bredere dialog om makro-politisk kommercialitet, køn og rumlighed.
Rikke Ehlers Nilsson (f 1984) bor og arbejder i Aalborg. Hendes praksis berører forskellige overlappende temaer inden for billedproduktion, såsom billedets forhold til populærkulturen, skønhedsindustrien og massemedierne hun arbejder både med fotografi, skulptur og design. Hun tog afgang fra Sandberg Instituut i Amsterdam, Holland i 2014 og fra Det Fynske Kunstakademi i 2011. Hendes værker er bla. blevet vist på Fotografisk Center i København, Kunsthallen Brandts og I:project Space, Beijing, Kina. Hun har modtaget arbejdslegater fra både Statens Kunstfond og Den Hielmstierne-Rosencroneske Stiftelse.
Billie Maya Johansen (f 1986) bor og arbejder i København. Hun arbejder med film, installation, objekter og grafik forenet gennem en underspillet humor og gennemgående interesse for socio-politiske vilkår og samtidsfænomener. Hun tog afgang fra Staatlische Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Staedelschule i Frankfurt am Main i 2014 og fra Det Fynske Kunstakademi i 2011. Hendes værker er bla. blevet vist på Museum für Moderne Kunst i Frankfurt am Main, Kunsthallen Brandts og Janus Vestjyllands Kunstmuseum.
Johanne Helga Heiberg (f 1987) bor og arbejder i København. I hendes praksis approprierer hun tekst og visuelt materiale indenfor en litterær- og kunst historisk kontekst, gennem brugen af et visuelt spor i tegning eller tekstil, arbejder hun med at formidle en vedkommende og kontemporær vinkel i sine værker. Hun er uddannet fra Det Fynske Kunstakademi i 2015. Hun har blandt andet udgivet de grafiske romaner Dear Frida og I have my heart in my mouth, samt illustreret bogen Dronning over verdens magter. Hun har modtaget arbejdslegater fra Statens Kunstfond mellem 2018 – 2021.

The group exhibition Cookiecutter features textile works that examine, rethink, and abstract the commonplace through contemporary artistic practice. The works shown seek to reveal both intimate moments and larger global frameworks derived from everyday life and play with the duality within objects and actions borrowed from the household, architecture, and design.
The works appropriate visual motifs from industry to investigate how production and consumption resonate with its surroundings on either an emotional or practical level. Inspiration is drawn from the marketplace to create a conversation that not only speaks about the personalized experience of these domestic references, but also broader macro-political commercial, gender, and spatial dialogues.
Rikke Ehlers Nilsson (b 1984) lives and works in Aalborg. Her practice touches upon various overlapping themes within image production, such as the image’s relationship to popular culture, the beauty industry and mass media working with photography, sculpture and design. She graduated from The Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in 2014 and The Funen Art Academy in 2011. Her works have been shown at the Fotografisk Center in Copenhagen, Kunsthallen Brandts, and at I:project Space, Beijing, China. She has received working grants from both The Danish Arts Foundation and The Hielmstierne-Rosencroneske Foundation.
Billie Maya Johansen (b 1986) lives and works in Copenhagen. She primarily works with video, installation, and graphics, united through underplayed humor and a keen interest in contemporary socio-political conditions and phenomena. She graduated from The Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main in 2014 and The Funen Art Academy in 2011. Her works have been shown at the Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt am Main, Janus Vestjyllands Kunstmuseum, and Kunsthallen Brandts.
Johanne Helga Heiberg (b 1987) lives and works in Copenhagen. In her practice she appropriates text and visual material from literary and art historical references, and through drawings or textiles, she seeks to explore contemporary conditions in her work. She graduated from The Funen Art Academy in 2015. Recently, she published the graphic novels Dear Frida and I have my heart in my mouth, as well as illustrated the book Dronning over verdens magter. She has received The Danish Arts Foundation working grant from 2018 – 2021.
